My journey into fitness started early on at the age of 13. I was short and skinny, 5’6″ and MAYBE a 100 pounds. After 5 years of struggle at the gym though, I’d only achieved 5’10″ and 120 lbs. Visual that! Most female supermodels are built that way. Not a good look for a teenaged guy, especially in 1987 with Arnold, Stallone and VanDamme all over the movie screen. However, from the age of 18 until 21, I worked with an endocrinologist, nutritionist and personal trainer and gained 30 lbs. WOOHOO! I’m normal. Sort of. I spent the next 10 years obsessed with body image, rather than true health, and tried to get MORE muscular, to no avail. At 30, it all changed. One day, while helping move something, POP!!! I’m down for the count with a major back strain and become introduced to chiropractic care and the concept of core strength and proper posture. Within months, I was a certified personal trainer and I’ve been obsessed with form, posture, safety and core strength ever since. I have worked with 100′s and 100′s of clients, many of whom experienced chronic pain and couldn’t find relief anywhere. Through assessing their daily movement patterns, old injuries and habits, I’ve been able to help them learn to move differently and live pain-free. Using skills and knowledge from chiropractice, massage, yoga, Feldenkrais, Martial Arts, Pilates and athletic training, I find a way to meet you where you are and help you move where you want to go. Please let my personal and professional experience help you live a pain free and active life.
